Rain chances increase for the work week

Rain chances for the work week

Hot temperatures will stick around to start of the work week, but an uptick in rain chances starts tomorrow.

For the rest of the evening, the majority of the Tennessee Valley will stay dry, with mild and muggy conditions. Lows will settle in the lower 70s.

Monday will start off dry, then scattered showers will start to pop up during the lunch time hours. These showers could persist going into the evening hours, and could drop some heavy rain and have some strikes of lightning. Highs will be in the low to mid 90s.

Starting Tuesday, rain chances really start to increase, and temperatures will fall back into the upper 80s by Wednesday.

TONIGHT: Mostly dry, lows in the low 70s. Wind: Calm.

MONDAY: Hot, afternoon scattered showers; highs in the mid 90s. Wind: WSW 5 mph.
