IDER, Ala. - The DeKalb County Drugs and Major Crimes Unit, alongside the DeKalb County SRT, executed a high-risk search warrant on Tuesday at a residence on County Road 330 in Ider.
The search was part of an investigation into a convicted violent felon suspected of possessing multiple firearms. During the search, investigators and narcotics agents recovered two firearms, methamphetamine, marijuana, and steroids.
Christopher Lane Burks, 45, from Ider, was charged with multiple offenses, including Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
